Over the past month, Muskeg Lake Cree Nation members have been asked to vote to accept or reject a specific claim offer from the Government of Canada that amounts to $127 Million. As a result, members have accepted the claim and authorized the establishment of a Trust. The number of voters were 948 and the results were 856 to accept and 86 to reject and 3 spoiled ballots.

Chief and Council will be meeting on Monday, February 28th to finalize the details required by the Government of Canada to accept the claim.
