The Basic Fire Fighter training sessions are conducted through a series of modules where firefighter candidates will develop skills for structural fire fighting. The modules are designed to provide the firefighter candidate with the information needed to meet the fire-related performance objectives in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001. Level One. The modules are designed for any fire fighter, with knowledge ranging from little or no basic structural fire fighting training, right up to the most experienced member of the fire department.
Grade 10 preferred, industry and fire conditions require good eyesight and hearing, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination, individuals must be physically agile.
