The Muskeg Lake Cree Nation believes every band member has the right to post-secondary education. Post-secondary education is a way of preparing our members to enter the workforce with a profession or career and become competing members of society, and a vehicle for continued advancement of our youth and young adults.
To that end, we offer financial support for post-secondary education to allow eligible students from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation opportunities to pursue higher education.
Counsellor’s message
“The Muskeg Lake Cree Nation Post-Secondary Program is committed to the success in the educational opportunities for our youth and young adults of our community. We as a community need to contribute to the education journeys of our children and instilling our values as First Nation people. We must teach our children how to think, not what to think. I would like to wish all students good health and good luck in their studies. Be proud of who you are, where you are, and where you are going in your journey.”

Post-secondary Funding
All funding for post-secondary students is provided from the post-secondary department at Muskeg Lake Cree Nation.
In order to remain in good standing students must submit a monthly declaration by the 20th of each month. Students must also provide a copy of their marks at the end of each semester to the post-secondary counsellor.
