Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and the Town of Blaine Lake have come together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that affirms our shared commitment to collaboration, mutual respect, and forward-looking community development.

This agreement lays the foundation for future opportunities that will benefit both our Nation and the Town of Blaine Lake, strengthening a longstanding relationship built on trust and community. We were honoured to welcome Mayor Tom Mayer and members of Blaine Lake Town Council to our community to share in this important moment.

Our Connection to Blaine Lake

• Muskeg Lake currently owns 10 homes in the Town of Blaine Lake.
• More than 40 Muskeg Lake students attend Blaine Lake Composite School.
• We recently completed the purchase of 10.8 acres of land in Blaine Lake, strengthening our collective development opportunities with municipal partners.

This MOU opens the door for future collaboration in areas such as:

• Housing initiatives
• Community infrastructure
• Shared services and recreational spaces
