Temporary Provincial Masking Mandate effective September 17, 2021

An interim Public Health Order has been put into effect as of Friday, September 17 that will require the use of non-medial masks in all indoor public spaces in Saskatchewan.

The order is targeted to be lifted in late October when full proof of vaccination or negative test requirements will have been fully implemented for about three weeks.

Indoor youth athletics for those under the age of 18 will be exempt from the masking order while they are actively engaged in the athletic activity. Masking in venues hosting youth athletics will remain required for general entry and exit into the facility, for athletes and spectators.

Mandatory Self Isolation Public Health Order

Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 must self-isolate for 10 days after receiving a positive test result. Close contacts of individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 will also be required to self-isolate for 14 days from the date of their last exposure if they are not fully vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated individuals identified as a close-contact of a positive case will not be required to self-isolate, but will be required to self-monitor and seek testing at the first sign of COVID-19 symptoms.

Unvaccinated school-age children (including high school) and day care children who are close contacts are exempt from self-isolation (may attend school or day care for education purposes and ride a school bus) provided that they have no symptoms and wear a face covering at all times while attending school or day care or ride the bus
